¿Why solar energy?

Switching to solar energy has a lot of benefits besides helping the environment by reducing the CO2 emissions which are harmful for the planet and your health.

By switching to solar you can have your electric bill be more affordable than the one you're used to pay. The solar energy technology can reduce your carbon footprint, lower your monthly energy costs and increase your property value.

How does it work?

Solar energy systems work taking advantage of the power of the sun rays and converting them to electricity. In solar electricity, the sunlight particles, called photons, are captured by the solar panels and converted to electrons, or direct current (DC). Then, the electrons pass through an inverter to convert the DC energy to alternative current (AC), which is the energy type used in your home.

1. Solar panels: The photovoltaic solar plates transform the energy from the sun light into electricity.

2. Solar inverter: This equipment adapts the electricity collected by the solar plates so it can be used in your property.

3. Generation counter: Measures the electricty generated by the photovoltaic installation*

4. Electric box: Electricity provided by solar energy is transfered from the solar inverter to your home through the switch-box.

5. Connection to the electric grid:  Your home will still be connected to the general distribution grid, unless you’ve chosen the autoconsume option, with no connection to the grid.
